APTN National News
Attawapiskat Chief Theresa Spence says that being placed into third-party management while attempting to manage the housing crisis was “like a slap in the face”.

Meanwhile, other community members are wondering what happened to the money from the impact benefit agreement that was supposed to come into Attawapiskat from the nearby De Beers diamond mine.

http://trailoftears2006.blogspot.com/This blog describes a situation in a Peigan community in Southern Alberta. Although a long read (start at bulletin 1 in order to follow the story), it gives a very real account of what is happening in many of the 600+ Native communities in Canada with regards to third party management, how it happens, and the results of its implementation. This story is far too common as you cross this country.
