More women’s groups drop out of Pickton Inquiry

Two of the oldest and most respected women’s organizations working Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside have joined the boycott of the Pickton Inquiry.

The women’s Memorial March Committee and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre are the latest groups to withdraw.

Both groups were granted full standing as a single participant in the missing women’s inquiry.

There are seven groups that have withdrawn.

Harsha Walia, from the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre, says the inquiry is a sham.
