The annual Canadian Council of Environment Ministers meeting has just wrapped up in Yellowknife.

The Council is made up of environment ministers from each of the provinces, territories and the federal government.

This year’s meeting was a chance for leaders to address common concerns facing water quality throughout Canada.

But there is still much work needed on a trans-boundary water agreement between the provinces and the territories situated along the Mackenzie River Basin.
