GRISE FIORD, Nunavut–They are known as the High Arctic exiles.

They are families taken from their home communities int he 1950s and relocated to reinforce Canada’s claims to the arctic.

The Stephen Harper government recently apologized to the families for all they went through. Now their sacrifice is being marked in the most Inuit way possible–through art.
